Session Zero:
---
tourism board is interested in the latest monster attack???
Oh and I need to go back and pay for coffee at some point... whoops
---
Doctor's in the market street for some reason... with a gun??? People don't do that, that's weird, lets keep an eye on her.
She's going for a photographer for some reason. He doesn't like her, and she ends up dropping her gun
Session One:
---
We found the coffee shop, and Mae is kinda... socially awkward. She tried to buy coffee beans with a fancy pen? And succeeds???
We find this Kim Sarah person, and start talking with her. Offer her a job at Grinell. (Also, lied about working at Grinell.) "Bodies that have been pinched apart? In unusual ways."
There's a big snake??? Kim hasn't seen it yet, but seems like she believes it. Seems like its just floating around the rumor mill.
Engineers talk about it? But they're mostly just scared, maybe...
One guy missing a lower half of his body, turned up in an alley. Dude with no head by the canal.
Snake drops its tail, rolls around, tail screams at you.
There's high pitched whining, partially from hydroelectric, partially not tho. The one that's the wrong direction is higher pitched. And we follow the high pitched noise.
Hat sized shaped glass cone, spinning on the ground, screaming. When it stops spinning, it stops screaming. Its firmer than glass, but not as rigid. Hide the tail in a bag, and head towards the hydroelectric plant.
---
Make it into the substation. Engineers are hand-wavy about the professor. Really nonchalant about someone dying on his watch.
Fresh water gets diverted towards water treatment nowadays; something about sand. Happened 3 months ago. Connects up above, but also a couple blocks down.
Looking for a Tim messenger, he might have a picture of the snake. Give the tail back to Mae.
Tim saw ... something? But he doesn't know. And he has a picture of a headless corpse.
---
Hank shows up and goes into the substation.
1/4 of the water got diverted.
I accidentally stole Hank's manual.
Main body of the snake is black and brown.
Sounds like a sewer gater growls sometimes. Sometimes it sounds more like the snake.
---
go to the treatment plant with Tim.
Found a big pit of sewage in the treatment plant.
Go down into the pit, turn around a corner, and see a bit of snake. Sound echoes a lot. And we can follow the flow back to the pit to exit.
Follow the snake for about an hour or so. A few times we've seen it, but its been a while.
Found the engineer.
Doesn't mind the noise of the tail... thing, for some reason.
Engineer leaves.
Snake is a lot larger than you'd think; could probably swallow a person whole. Its facing away from us, hopefully still asleep.
Mae charges in, tries a flamethrower on it. It doesn't seem to be too affected by fire, but it doesn't like it.
Snake has no eyes, but only sometimes. Gunshot doesn't hurt it as much as you'd hope.
Snake generates another tail thingy, then snake leaves.
---
Session Two
---
Met with Koboi (Guide), got a 2 harm hand area magic staff and +1 forward.
Got home really late.
I pawn off the tail for my morning coffee and yesterdays coffee, then head to Mae's office.
Go for a wander to the newspaper (Hop a trolley, Mae pays). Tim left the pictures in his office, but we still need a tail so we go to Tim's appartment.
We break into Tim's appartment and steal the tail, but his neighbor caught Mae trying to break in. I lied (really poorly) to get out of it.
Talk to a snake person about it, and he's confused too.
If its not a snake, it can't swallow you whole, and it can't handle insecticides that well.
There's a bunch of barrels of dead rats in the iron mines. But those are kinda old.
