audio-soundboard
Python project that can feed audio files into individual audio channels for use as a location-based soundboard.
Usage
This repository uses the Python package manager uv to manage its dependencies.
To install uv, install using the standalone installer:
curl -LsSf https://astral.sh/uv/install.sh | sh
This will install locally to your user, and therefore does not require root/sudo access.
It is compatible with environments that restrict installation of python libraries (see PEP668 ), such as Debian.
Once uv has been installed, in the root of this repository, run the following to get all dependencies:
uv sync
uv run soundboard
A Makefile is also included, for useful documentation.
All further keyboard inputs are captured and used for controlling the soundboard. It can be exited by pressing Ctrl-C.
Licensing
All code in this repo is licensed under AGPL-3.0-or-later. Any additional resources such as audio files are for demonstration purposes only.
