Phonetic analysis plugin [analysis-phonetic]

The Phonetic Analysis plugin provides token filters which convert tokens to their phonetic representation using Soundex, Metaphone, and a variety of other algorithms.

Installation [analysis-phonetic-install]

::::{warning} Version 9.0.0-beta1 of the Elastic Stack has not yet been released. The plugin might not be available. ::::

This plugin can be installed using the plugin manager:

sudo bin/elasticsearch-plugin install analysis-phonetic

The plugin must be installed on every node in the cluster, and each node must be restarted after installation.

You can download this plugin for offline install from https://artifacts.elastic.co/downloads/elasticsearch-plugins/analysis-phonetic/analysis-phonetic-9.0.0-beta1.zip. To verify the .zip file, use the SHA hash or ASC key.

Removal [analysis-phonetic-remove]

The plugin can be removed with the following command:

sudo bin/elasticsearch-plugin remove analysis-phonetic

The node must be stopped before removing the plugin.
